If you relate to any of the statements above, you're probably a Disney fan like me You count the days until your next trip to Disney, spend day and nights dreaming of Dole Whip, and watch Disney movies in your spare time. All Disney fanatics know that Disney parks have the best food. From giant turkey legs to delicious churros, Disney always has delicious grub to offer. I can't tell you how many times I've dreamed about digging into one of those specialty caramel apples. And the best part is, you don't need a FastPass to enjoy the best food on eart.
You see, the backstory for Pizza Port revolves around the difficulty experienced by astronauts of finding a “decent pizza” in space (#SpaceProblems — you know how it goes). That is, until Redd Rockett decided to solve that problem once and for all by setting up a pizza port in the sector. Its success was so great that Redd opened up a second location right here on Earth, in Tomorrowland, located near Space Mountain.
Food for the Kids
- Available at Clarabelle’s, Pluto’s Dog House, and Daisy’s Diner, the Minnie (or Mickey) Chocolate Chip Cookie Cupcake is a super sweet treat that combines two of our favorite things!
- Flo’s resembles a giant air filter at this roadside stop in Carburetor County. Race fans will love Flo’s dining room which is fashioned after a showroom and also serves as a museum of artifacts from the legendary race car driver, Doc Hudson. You’ll want to check out Flo’s memorabilia from her glory days with the Motorama Girls while you’re there!As you walk into Flo’s, you are handed a breakfast menu that includes photos. I actually love that fact that they include pictures of the meals. It makes it so easy to order, especially when you’ve got little ones with you.
- The Tiki Juice Bar is an open-air, counter service kiosk, located adjacent to the Enchanted Tiki Room in Disneyland’s Adventureland. In fact, it’s part of the the Tiki Room’s pre-show.
- Galactic Grill is a counter-service spot over in Disneyland Park’s Tomorrowland area that features the occasional creative treat and delicious parfaits!
Food for the Bigger Kids
Tucked into a spirited corner of Disneyland’s New Orleans Square is the famed Blue Bayou Restaurant. Soft twinkling lights and candlelit tables, a sizeable and hearty menu, and an environment that succeeds in transforming guests right into a creole dream awaits hungry folks.
“What’s Red Rose Taverne?” you ask? It’s a pop-up restaurant — Disney style! An homage to all things Beauty and the Beast — just in time for the feature film to hit theaters in less than a month. Featured selections include a combo of themed items and some entrees that are a little less so. If your whole party isn’t into BatB, no worries — you’ll find food that will please everyone.
